Jason's Classic Arcade

I'm a big fan of the arcade games I played growing up. When I was in elementary school, my parents would make my teenage sister take me with her to Don Carter's All-Star Lanes in Boca Raton, and while she was off smoking or whatever, I had my roll of quarters for the arcade. I recall they had Galaga, Donkey Kong, Dig Dug, Defender, Elevator Action, Tempest, Robotron, Star Castle, Armor Attack, and the other early 80's hits.

Of course with today's powerful PC's able to emulate these old games through software, who can resist MAME and the like?

Once I bought a house, I knew my game room would not be complete without either some real arcade machines or a PC running MAME in an arcade cabinet, or both. My endeavors are documented here. Hopefully something I've listed will help someone with their arcade machine someday, or at least provide some entertaining reading.

This hobby is a combination of so many things: Nostalgia, gaming, electronics, carpentry, audio, graphics, and programming. No wonder it appeals to so many!

Hi Jason. Just cleaning out my email, and I came across one with your webpage on it. As you can imagine, I'm not much of a blogger, but I did want to say Hi!

I'm not much of a blogger. Apparently, I'm not much of a typer either if I can't sign my name! Kristin Davis
